Wentz and Hoppus Plan Collaborations:
Is a supergroup in their future or is it just good times in the studio?
When we sat down with Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, we asked if they thought their union on the Almost Alice compilation could result in future collboration. “We could, but it wouldn’t be a supergroup. It’d be a superdupergroup,” Hoppus joked. “No, but Pete and I have been talking for a long time about working together on projects, and as time allows, and between what he does and what I do, we definitely enjoy getting in the studio together.” “It’s fun to do. It’s just for fun sometimes,” Wentz said.
And it appears that “getting in the studio together” is something the two are already starting to make a habit of. “We were in the studio yesterday, working on ideas for news songs, and I don’t think that we’ll ever form a supergroup, but we’ll definitely collaborate on a lot of stuff,” Hoppus said.
